Andrea Schotthoefer

President

Andrea Schotthoefer is the President of the Epilepsy Foundation of Michigan. Schotthoefer has a rich history with the Foundation dating back to 2004, when she joined the team as the Marketing & Development Coordinator.

Since then, she has served in a variety of roles, including Vice President from 2020 to 2022. For over a decade, Schotthoefer has passionately advocated on behalf of those with epilepsy in Michigan. In her role as Vice President, she played a direct role in generating vital funding which directly benefitted many mission activities aimed at serving the epilepsy community, allowing them to best manage the condition and live their best lives.

Prior to returning to the Foundation as President, Schotthoefer held leadership roles with other nonprofit organizations but remained connected to the Foundation and the epilepsy community throughout that time. “I am humbled and honored to step into the role of President and rejoin this dynamic team,” notes Schotthoefer. “It truly feels like a homecoming, and I am beyond grateful to serve the epilepsy community.”
As President of the Epilepsy Foundation of Michigan, she oversees all aspects of donor relations, general fundraising activities, budgets, leads the multi-year strategic plan, and supports, leads, and coaches the Foundation team with a focus on innovation and inclusivity.

Schotthoefer holds a degree in Communications with a concentration in Public Relations from Wayne State University. She resides in Trenton with her husband and three children and enjoys reading, exploring new activities, and spending time with her family.
