DESCRIPTION:Mindfulness has been shown to calm our bodies\, reduce anxiety and stress\, and impact memory and cognition in positive ways. \n\n\nWe invite you to join us for Mindfulness Moments with Andrea Thomas\, MA\, LLP\, Psychologist at Henry Ford Comprehensive Epilepsy Center\, and Renee Roederer\, Sr. Director of Programs and Community Care\, at the Epilepsy Foundation of Michigan. \n\n\nOn the second Tuesday of each month from 7-7:30 pm\, Andrea and Renee will guide you through mindfulness exercises to focus on the present moment. \nRegister here.

DESCRIPTION:The Michigan Pediatric Epilepsy Project\, in partnership with Michigan Family to Family Health Information Center and the Family Center for Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs is offering the Navigating Healthcare Training for Parents of Children with Epilepsy. \nParents and caregivers have an important role in getting the best medical care for their child. It can be especially challenging when your child has epilepsy and/or other special health care needs. The purpose of this training is to make navigating the healthcare system easier when you have a child with epilepsy (seizures). Register here.
