Event Description
All onsite spring and summer camps at North Star Reach, including Camp Discovery and Solstice Camp, have been suspended in response to the coronavirus pandemic.

Epilepsy Foundation of Michigan understands and fully supports this difficult decision. Camper health and safety is our number one priority, and multiple factors associated with the ever-changing and unpredictable COVID-19 pandemic make it difficult to adequately uphold this priority. This includes likely disruptions in the availability of vital medical supplies, medical staffing, and volunteers. We are committed to working with North Star Reach to identify creative ways to support social connection and personal growth for youth with epilepsy during these challenging times.

Greetings Past and Future Camper Families! Together with North Star Reach, the Epilepsy Foundation of Michigan is offering Solstice Camp 2020

Teen Camp “Solstice Camp” – June 24 – 27, 2020

Offered to campers age 16-17, we will be hosting a teen camping experience that focuses on self-esteem building, empowerment, and transition to adulthood – in addition to the traditional fun camp activities. This camp is open to teens who have a variety of medical needs, including teens with epilepsy.

*Registration is ongoing and is done on a rolling basis. Completion of application and submission of required authorizations is preferred by April 15th. Applications along with required authorizations submitted after April 15th, may be placed on a waiting list or encounter a delay in acceptance to camp.
